Island of Pašman
The island of Pašman is an oasis of peace in the middle of the crystal clear sea. It is separated from the mainland and Zadar in the north by the picturesque Pašman Channel, which in some places is only two kilometers wide. It has dozens of islets scattered like pearls of a necklace. In this area, the sea current changes every six hours, so here is the cleanest sea on the Adriatic.
Pašman is connected to the neighboring island of Ugljan in the northwest by a bridge over the narrow Ždrelac canal. It covers an area of 63 km2 and covers 65 km of indented coastline, which makes it one of the largest Croatian islands. As one of the closest islands to the mainland in the Adriatic, it is an excellent starting point for day trips to the mainland as well as to the wide sea and many pearl islands.
